For those of you who purchased Sins of a Solar Empire Collector's Edition (which is what you automatically get when you purchase directly from Stardock either digitally or the CE box) you get the Sins of a Solar Empire MyColors theme. Just type in your CE serial # (visit here to have Stardock email your serial #) into MyColors. If you have the CE version, you should be able to see it from the update page within Sins of a Solar Empire.

MyColors is Stardock's latest desktop customization technology that allows users to completely personalize the Windows experience (32-bit Windows XP or Windows Vista).  The technology behind it has been used by Microsoft, nVidia, ATI, Blizzard, Nintendo, and countless others.

If you don't have the Collector's Edition of Sins of a Solar Empire, you can purchase MyColors Sins of a Solar Empire at half the price that most MyColors themes are.  You can also try out MyColors for yourself to see how it works for you.

polopili, are you running any firewalls?  Do you run in admin mode?  What version of Windows do you run?  We have seen a few instances of people not being able to download, but we haven't been able to reproduce it.

No firewalls, but I do have a router (enabling DMZ did not fix the issue) Could it be the version of XP I'm using that isn't supported?
Here's the system information mycolor gave me:

Windows XP (Personal) Build: 2600 Service Pack 2

Wblind.dll 01/22/2008 12:27:58 452424
Wbsrv.dll Unknown
Thememgr.exe 02/01/2008 16:53:34 595192
Wbload.exe 01/22/2008 12:28:00 379640
Wbload.dll 08/13/2007 18:11:18 59056

Looks amazing! I am having some issues getting MyColors to register my key, but once that I get that sorted out, I will be stylin'!
Drop a note to pford@stardock.com. We've seen cases where users of the original Sins beta have had problems because their serials are different. We're trying to figure it out.

Ok thanks! I will try that.

I get an error when I try to apply the theme, most of it is installed but the dialog box states:

--
WindowsBlinds Enhanced found.

Please update your WindowsBlinds to version 6.02 or later for compatibility with MyColors.

The visual style portion of this theme will not be applied.
--

Per Stardock Central, I have WindowsBlinds version 6.09c.[b].118. It is a beta version, is that why MyColors is not recognizing that it's a version later than 6.02? I don't know why it's saying this since everything looks skinned. Just wanted to know if I was missing something in the theme with visual style not applied.

Just to clarify, because I can't edit the original post at the moment:  Only WalMart customers and those who have purchased the Collector's Edition of Sins directly from Stardock are eligible to recieve the Sins MyColors theme for free.

I've tried applying the theme, it works but when I restart my machine it always reverts to the wallpaper I had before (Empire Total War) which really does not suit the theme!! Why is the sins wallpaper provided with the theme being lost in this way? I have tried the help page but it is pitifully thin on actual help!!
