No one ever accused me of not being tacky.

But every year I get asked by friends and family what I want for Christmas and the answer is almost always "books". I love books.  But people say they don't know what type of book so I end up with a lot of other..stuff.

So below is my Amazon.com wish list.

I laughed at the last book there (only because everyone knows your position at Stardock and all ).

"Why Employees Don't Do What They're Supposed To Do and What To Do About It"

What ever will Miss Manners say?  lol.

What do you do with the crap books people buy you?  Like if I bought you Moneyball instead of one of the books on this list, would you just throw it in the garage sale box?

#2 on that list really worries me. Not that there is such a book, or even tat it has an audience. But that it may find an audience with well-educated people truly worries me. It really doesn't sound much different to me than i.e. 9/11 conspiracy theories.

As far as I can see (and I am neither liberal nor am I conservative) it only serves to dig trenches

Brad, I put the Chuck-o-nut and the book about employees in my cart, but when I went to check out, both of them said, "We're sorry.  This item can not be shipped to a wish list or gift registry address."  Have you successfully gotten anything off your wishlist?  Maybe only things that come straight from Amazon work.

I am not much of a reader so books would probably never show on my wish list. I am a tech geek so gadgets are my thing, which is why I never ask for anything and always tell people "what ever you give me is OK" when asked what I want for Christmas. Otherwise I would bankrupt some of them or get that "what are you crazy?" look from them.

This is what my wish list would look like:
