The bad news is that Google's recently released web browser, Google Chrome doesn't play well with WindowBlinds. It works but it's visually messed up looking.

The good news is that we have it it working internally but are working through some remaining issues.

I love the new browser though I'm not sure I'm in love with their coding implementation.

The upcoming WindowBlinds 6.3 will support Google Chrome. Right now, changing skins while it's loaded still has to be dealt with and some skins naturally look funky since effectively the Google Chrome non-client area is huge.

Brads issue with changing skins turned out to be a per app setting - right now google chrome does not support per app skins.  We will see about addressing that in the future.

To make a skin look best it should have the Glass versions of the Per Pixel frames defined as Diamond does.

The build Brad is running is up as a beta on Impulse / SDC for ObjectDesktop / WindowBlinds customers.  Set show pre releases to see it.

Indeed.

I must admit, I really like this browser even with some of its glitches and incompatibilities

I'm 'sort of' liking it, too...

They don't go 'whee' in Firefox though, you just get an arrow

Looking great!

when trying to comment on work with Google Chrome the textbox does not appear instead it posts an empty message. im not sure whether this problem is due to Google Chrome itself or whether its something Wincustomize should fix but i think it will be a good idea to look into it.

I like chrome, just can't make myself switch until they add some add-ons that I need from FF.

Dragging tabs in Chrome works differently.  In Firefox you can move them in order on the window.  In Chrome, you can tear away the tab and make it a stand-alone window.  Very handy.

Yeah. More like the way you've been able to do it in Opera for awhile.

Downloaded the latest beta, but I still can't see the tab bar in Google Chrome. When I add Chrome.exe to the exclusions list, I get a black titlebar instead of the tabbar as well.

What settings are needed to get this working?

EDIT: Grr, apparently Impulse failed to completely update WB when I told it to - even though it asked me to reboot. Loaded Impulse and there was a "paused" download for WB..... grr. Trying again, maybe it will work now.

And Safari.

Finally gave it a try, and well...I do like some of the features but (and I know it is only beta) it is not enough to take me away from FF. Maybe time will tell.

You should not set an exclusion for google chrome.
