Obama has voted more than McCain in that time.

I forgot voting Present counts as a vote.

on Sep 25, 2008

So it's on friday that we will know if this move was a smart one or not right?

Sorry but I just wanted to clear this up. If McCain said he suspended his campaign, that means he won't show up on friday. What will they do then? Show Obama talking to himself? Or just say Obama won?

Oh and what does this suspension mean for Sarah? Is she just gonna sit back and continue managing alaska?

Don't be so sure of that. While Obama rehearses his red sea parting voice for 3 days, McCain is rushing to Washington to work on an economic crisis. Is it a gamble? Probably, but if McCain gets positive results its not all that dumb.

Rushing to Washington or doing an interview with Couric in a studio?

It's obvious he realized what a stupid move he made, and will go ahead with the debate

This really is the election of who wants to LOSE the most.

"Republican presidential candidate Sen. John McCain announced Wednesday that he is suspending his campaign to return to Washington and focus on the "historic" crisis facing the U.S. economy." Just a few days ago the fundamentals of the economy were strong, no?

Ah, who knew? The economic fundamentals show we weren't technically in a recession and the Feds were warning of a slowdown but not of an ecomonic Pearl Harbor.

Who understood the true depth of the greed on Wall Street and the excesses on Main Street before this? Find them and we'll be getting somewhere...and you can start with 2 of Obama's present advisors who were part and parcel of the Wall Street problem.

Who of the two, McCain or Obama, has been advocating we CHANGE the way we tax taxpayers and spend their money? Check out McCain's record.....he's not been bought by special interests, or lobbyists....Not one dime. Yet, over the past few years, Obama received 860 million in earmarks. As an attachment to the Defense bill, Biden just received 51.5 million in earmark spending for Delaware.

I don't know what kind of tactic it is but it sure is bizarre isn't it?

Knock, knock, neither Obama nor McCain gave up their senate seat to run for President. That means they are still getting paid to do their job....so, since when is it a tactic or bizarre for a Senator whos' running on "Country first" to mean what he says and say what he means when warned that an economic crisis  is at hand to return to Washington to do his job?

Yes, he put country first in a political stunt that accomplished nothing, if anything hurt the whole process. McCain also put country first when he pissed 64% of votes in the senate, more than any other senator.....

Not to mention he won the debate! before it happened!

meant to be missed, not pissed.

Same thing in this case.

Why is doing his job as a Senator a "political stunt" for McCain?  Didn't Obama after push came to shove....do the same thing?....He also halted his campaign and went to Washington?

on Sep 26, 2008

Why is doing his job as a Senator a "political stunt" for McCain?

Because Obama is not doing his job, so it has to be,

But it was a stupid stunt none the less.

But it was a stupid stunt none the less.

I just don't see it as a stunt or even as political gamesmenship. If it wasn't real, then McCain had everything to lose and nothing to gain....

No one said it was a smart stunt.....

I think I can now safely say: "I told you so".

Since McCain did this, his ratings have dropped dramatically.
