So I got a scanner recently (Uniden 396XT) and it’s amazing how professional the police are despite having to deal unbelievably stupid people.

Tonight I had it on and the cops were reporting on a lady who was running down the street screaming (while naked) that she could fly. The police reporting this remained calm, cool, and detached.

That’s an extreme case but they deal professionally with all kinds of crazy or stupid people.

It's a scanner, not a media outlet.

I've had scanners for about 30 years. I recently got a 396XT. Do you know about radio reference?

I was commenting on why some folks have little or no respect. Not everyone uses a scanner. They do their job whether or not anyone is listening. So where is the average persons opinion formulated? The media.

That would make you -5 years old according to your profile, if I take your post literally, of course honesty is subjective on the internet.

You know, Police do great job of acting reasonably with crazy people, but I've encountered plenty of police officers who are incapable of acting reasonably when dealing with reasonable people.
