Okay, we have two people now on the Uther server (Pacific Coast time zone).  We chose pacific coast because it is 3 hours ahead of where we are (eastern) so more day-light playing in the game.

My character's name is Draginol. Tandis is another player on there.

So for starters, just look for me on there and add me to your friends list.

Once we have enough people, ew can form a guild.

See you there!

We now have a few people on the Uther side. So who's up for a guild?

Is it too late to join? I have never played an on-line game - is this a good one to start with? Can you buy it on-line?

It turns out my son uses the Central Time zone servers, less lag, no queues, and so far, he says, the server hasn't crashed except for routine maintainence.

Cheers

What about Arnor as the name of Guild?

I really like something to do with Dragons....but, eh, that is just me.....

as for buying the game...you have to buy it at a store (or, at ebgames.com or somewhere like that....). It seems to be kinda rare now though....at least, by my ovservations....sold out all over. I am wanting to buy a Collector's Edition sometime....but they are sold out everywhere too.

As for the question, is this a good one to start with? I would say yes....it is easy to get in to....just a great, great game, In my opinion

Bought it at Best Buy last night - they had tons of copies. Installed and started playing - next thing I know it is 1am

I am a human Paladin. Any tips for someone just starting out?

I am **trying** to find a Collector's Edition.....but I think that is going to be a no-go

They sold out pretty quickly around here. Luckily, it's my birthday this week and the game is sold where my wife works, so she was able to get a Collector's Edition for me with less trouble than most people probably have to deal with. It's pretty sweet! The cloth map is nice. I haven't watched the DVD yet, but it looks to be full of cool stuff about the game development. I brought the soundtrack CD to work today and it's pretty cool, too! The gift pet is a little lame, though. It's neat to have something running around behind you everywhere you go but it doesn't do anything, really. I'm lvl 21 now and my panda is still lvl 1. It is kind of funny, though, that it falls asleep if I stand still for a minute or so (even during combat!). It's also cool that you get two copies of the game (DVD and 4 -CD) and a free 10 day guest pass to give to a friend. I have a buddy that wants to get the game, but just hasn't gotten around to buying it, yet. I'm giving him the pass so he can play a little until he actually buys it.

Are the 1/2 burned candles from dead kobolds worth anything? I have a whole backpack full of them...

Later the large candles can be a quest item, but the small, half candles aren't worth much. You can sell them to a vendor for some coppers but that's about it.

hey, that copper can add up.....i was grouping with someone, and they were running right by all the things they were killing....not looting much of anything. He said that it was because all he would get for stuff was a little bit of copper....

So, I looted everything. I figure....a little bit of copper adds up.

Yesterday, I made over 15 silver in just one trip to Bashal 'Aran on Darkshore.....that little stuff adds up....the linen cloth, just with selling one, would only get you maybe 10-20 copper.....but when you have 30 of them....then you get up into 2 or 3 silver at least....

It is smart (i think) to loot everything you can....try to keep track a little of what gives you the most for selling....that way you can make room by getting rid of the items that don't bring back more (did that make any sense, whatsoever?)
