It’s interesting to see a case where one isn’t definitely better than the other. Regular lighting looks pretty good I think. It’s sharper. Advanced lighting looks good too. It’s softer. I wonder if this should be renamed to Soft Lighting or something because it implies that one is more “advanced” than the other.

To me the trees/bushes look better on the right but the people look better on the left. Now all in all I don't like the animation in the game but I think if I can combine the two (soft for the plants and sharp for the People/monsters/buildings) then maybe it won't have that anime look which I don't care for.  But it is not bad enough to annoy me and the gameplay as well as the cloth map is good.

Having poor eyesight in real life, and after having looked at these two images, I must concur that I find the "regular" lighting to be more to my liking. The reason is simple, the contrast is much better with the "regular" light when compared to to the "advanced/soft" light. This is something I find very important in games, for obvious reasons, as it's one of the things which define whetever or not I have to spend several minutes squinting my eyes to make out certain things, or whetever I can just take a look at it and then move on. Blurriness and washed-out colors makes me sad in pants. D:

The slider for the advanced lighting does not work here. Changes nothing whatever I set it to, the level of softness is always the same. And yes I turned Stylized Lighting on.
