Brad Wardell's views about technology, politics, religion, world affairs, and all sorts of politically incorrect topics.

If you’re looking for a non-politicized (just the facts) site for global temperatures here’s a good one:

http://www.drroyspencer.com/latest-global-temperatures/

All it does is use the NOAA satellite data to measure the atmospheric temperatures. No more. No less.  As a result, it doesn’t rely on readings ground stations which have tended to be somewhat inaccurate or affected by ambient temperature changes due to man-made construction (i.e. as an area gets urbanized, it gets warmer).

Regardless of where you stand on climate change, the numbers probably won’t make an advocate of either side very happy.

But even more important than the sole phenomenon is the sustainability of our current socio-economic system. Is it sustainable?

According to the 'wise ones' we were doomed long ago and shouldn't be here now.  Funny how civilization always seems to outlive the doomsayers.

Now the Mayans, that may be different.

The topics of politics, religion and global warming always bring out the folks who spout tripe about stuff they know nothing about and expect it to be accepted as fact.

The Earth is going to get wiped by an asteroid before all this happens anyway. So who cares about global warming.

That's what I'm countin' on.  Then we'll all be recycled into fossil fuels for the species which follow us.  Neat & tidy.

Though a lucky few will be beamed up to a more sustainable world with more educated practices... it's the heaven referred to by various groups who believe in a higher power, but in fact it's the place promised to our ancient ancestors by extra-terrestrial, visitors who knew one day we would f**k this planet up.

Thanks Kamamura, you made my day with that post.

Did you know the Catholic Church is one of the institutions pushing this global warming crap?  The Anglican Church is pushing it too, along with most of the major religious organizations.  One of life's little ironies.

Let's please avoid the topic of religion, folks.

Politics.

There are forum sections better suited for both on JoeUser and there has already been a directive for religion and politics to not be on the "Life the Universe and Everything" forum section.

Thank you.

Absolutely right, Hankers.

This is the 'Science & Tech' forum - tough to divorce politics from that these days.

Sorry, guys.. though my previous post was more about my belief in ETs and that they will come to rescue the more worthy to preserve our species as a better, more pure and intellectual race than we presently are.
