Stardock has released MyColors 2008. MyColors is a program that allows users to change their entire Windows experience by applying MyColors themes.

Unlike other customization options, MyColors focuses on allowing users to purchase individual themes rather than purchasing individual programs to customize an aspect of Windows.

There are hundreds of MyColors themes to choose from thanks to Stardock teaming up with the NHL, NCAA, GM, Ford, NBA, and others to create branded desktops. M...

For years, power users have been customizing their Windows desktop by applying skins, themes, icon packages, wallpapers, widgets, etc.

To the new user, the number of steps in order to achieve a completely new desktop has often discouraged them from getting into it.  How do they get their normal desktop back if they want? What programs are free and what programs aren't? Do I have the latest versions of the various programs?

The answer for most users to those questions has been...

Here's how to get rid of it:

1) Open Control Panel -> Internet Options.
2) Open Security-tab; mark the zone "Local intranet", press the "Sites" button,
3) Un-check "Automatically detect intranet network",THEN

If you use the program Fraps to capture full screen video and are having trouble getting those AVI files to run under Vista, the answer is to go and install the latest Fraps from Don't waste time trying to install various codecs. They won't help. You need to install Fraps first.

The cliche "beauty in the eye of the beholder" is so overused but is so universal. A better phrase would be that value is in the eye of the beholder.

This past week, Apple updated the iPhone and the iPod Touch. Apple is charging existing users $19.95 to get some of the new features. Thus ensued a lot of bitching and moaning about the price.

Maybe it's because I'm a sick, scummy, evil capitalist who eats babies when I'm not on here flaming web hippies but what is it with non-produ...

I tell ya, there's nothing better than spending an evening chit chatting with ones wife about the meaning of life, the universe, and everything.

Even after all these years, I still enjoy her company just for the sake of talking about interesting topics.

Since the end of the Korean war, the two halves of the Korean peninsula have be free to pursue their own destiny. Communist North Korea pursued a centrally planned socialistic economy. South Korea pursued a capitalistic free market economy.

So next time you're asked whether you support government run health care or other centrally planned initiatives, ask yourself how dark you want it to get? A little bit of socialism is like a little bit of death.
