Some people have argued that JoeUser makes money from ad revenue.

Of course, the real question isn't whether it makes money but rather it nets money.

Here's what it "made" in February:

JoeUser 163,337  93  0.1%   $15.66

That's 164,337 impressions for the google ad. 93 click thrus. .1% conversion rate for $15.66.

Now, I don't think anyone needs to be an IT manager to know what the net revenue is.

But that's fine.  The site doesn't have to make money. It only costs marginally more to have the site available to the public as opposed to just Stardock personnel for syndication purposes.  I'm only posting the ad revenue for those who think that web ads are somehow big money.

A lot of websites that I frequent do the same thing to help defray the cost of keeping the site free.
I don’t understand why that would be a problem with anyone.

I was not aware there was even ads on JU!  So I guess I am not one of the 93.  I hd to look all the way to the bottom of the page to find them.

Please note I am not complaining about JU not have ads jump out at you at ever turn!  I like it the way it is.

Where are the ads?  How do we see them?  I've never seen one.

And now that you made a WHOPPING $15, I want a share!  That would be what.......half a half a penny?

Aw!  I am SO ripped off!

How about a sesame seed from the MacDonalds dinner that will buy for Brad and the family?

Umm, kids' meals are the MOST expensive, dollar for dollar. McD's DOES have a "dollar value menu", you know.

Oh, wait, but Dr. DID mention a "sesame seed", which can't be found on dollar value menu sandwiches OR in kids' meals, for that matter.

Sorry, doc. Them seeds carry a premium.

True, but my kids think those hamburgers are "different" than the ones coming in the kiddie bags and boxes.
