Running into problems?
Published on April 19, 2004 By Draginol In Blogging
The new logon system is nearly complete. But if you're having any problems posting or anything at all, you will want to try logging out and logging back in so that the system can enable all your features for you.

The admin tool for the "Manage site custom links" is broken. It says:

"To create a new Section Heading just enter a new name and leave the URL field blank."

When I do that it just adds a new link under a Section Heading that I didn't want in the first place. It's quite broken. And I cannot delete the only Section Heading that is there to create a new one.

I've also noticed a couple of grammar and speeling errors here...

a.) On the create new article page... "HTML Markup - It is recommended that you use an editor, such as MS-FrontPage when creating your content. This will help to decrease errors, such as spelling and grammer and ensure reliable code creation when copying to the body field."

b.)When you click "More..." on recent forum posts, in the Sort Categories drop-down: Polpular

There was another I noticed today, but I'll be damned if I can remember where it was. If someone could look into the Custom Links issue, that'd be much appreciated. I believe Muggaz was also having this same issue.

You want a "living wage"....learn to do something that qualifies to PAY a living wage.

No one OWES anyone a living wage...just because you work...doesnt mean you get to earn X dollars. Who the hell believes that someone who isnt worth your arbitrary $8+/hour in a free market is going to fare any better if this control is put in place...ya know what you get....ya get a living wage...and a few dozzen million more people with NO WAGE because an employer cant afford to pay some dipwad $8 to sweep floors or wash dishes poorly.

Just where does this "magical extra money" come from? It comes from the pockets of the most poor who now instead of earning $6/hr, get N O T H I N G.

Yea...that'll fix everything....DUH

ALF, why is "Stardock" in your name?  And, why did you post that on this thread?

Meh, it appears that I'm not the only one with the above problem. A little acknowledgement as to if it's being looked at? Thanks.

Brad, ocassionally when I log in it shows my name simply as 'Sir Peter Max'. I have to log in three or four more times to rectify this. Why is the site doing this? Please reply urgently.

The 'Manage Custom Links' issue will be corrected first thing Tuesday morning. It's been corrected, but will be uploaded to this server and tested. You will won't have this issue after tomorrow morning (4/27/2004).
