Brad Wardell's views about technology, politics, religion, world affairs, and all sorts of politically incorrect topics.
This time at MSU

While left of center regularly call me "intolerant" because I don't agree with their views (even as I provide a free blog for them to speak out), the left continues its consistent display of intolerenance by physically assaulting those who don't agree with them.

This week's example is here in Michigan at MSU.

To disagree with the left used to be just a matter of being ignorant and unenlightened. Nowadays, you're not only ignorant and unenlightened but too repulsive to allow to have your words heard lest the "Sheeple" start getting crazy right-wing ideas.  Hence, we have conservative speaker after conservative speaker attacked on American campuses.

Did the left do something to upset you this Saturday? Would you like to be tickled?

"Pat Buchanan was assaulted by a deranged student who hurled salad dressing at him. Last month, David Horowitz and his bodyguards were attacked by two thugs with a cream pie."

Big difference between getting a pie in the face and being "kicked"!

Kyle Bristow, chairman of the Young Americans for Freedom, or YAF, said he was kicked and spat upon by some of the protesters when he was outside the MSU College of Law, where the discussion was being held.

The only thing, in fact, that Columbia's administrators have done is to announce an "investigation" - which, of course, they would do.

Beyond that, Columbia's silent.

* No comment on when the investigation might wrap up.

* No comment on how many students are under investigation.

* No comment on how many face possible expulsion
.

Maybe Columbia's hoping the whole matter will simply go away.

Or perhaps the administration is just too scared to confront its brownshirts.

Regardless, what transpired that night is clear: Just as Jim Gilchrist, founder of the anti-illegal-immigration Minuteman Project, opened his remarks at a campus event sponsored by the college's Republican Club, thugs bum-rushed the stage and physically attacked the speaker.

Their assault was premeditated. Gilchrist was barely able to utter a word before being hustled away by security.

Apart from some boilerplate rhetoric immediately after the attack, university President Lee Bollinger has had little of substance to say about it.

There has been no formal apology to Gilchrist.

There has been no invitation for him to return to Columbia for a do-over.

Worst of all, Bollinger - though a First Amendment specialist - appears perfectly content with how things are proceeding.

Even in victory, they cant be civil.  And we are supposed to respect them?  respect is earned, not granted.  They have not earned anything but scorn.

See while getting a pie in the face "is" an attack it's not meant to hurt someone, it's meant to embarrass or tick someone off. Getting kicked means that the kicker actually meant to hurt someone.

it's only an ATTACK when someone from the left gets it.. when someone from the copnservative right gets it, it,s called free speech or justice.

The far left does stand up for free speech [for those who agree with them] and you should all be thankful.

The thing is . . . this happening on college campuses isn't just a matter of the Left-Wing Conspiracy (as I see it). The problem is . . . college students are a bunch of useless pricks that want to lash out somehow, so they pick a "controversial" viewpoint and lash.

If it were "en vogue" on the college campuses of the nation to be conservative, we'd see the same thing from "Right-Wing" students towards liberal visitors.

Mainly my entire generation is by and large a pile of useless, steaming shit.

What a bunch of buttcrackers.

What, I am not...

*walks off brandishing his torch and pich fork, heading for the nearest conservative speakers*

Now, Brad, don't have a heart attack when I say this, but...I agree with you, however - not exactly by the same words you chose.

I personally don't advocate violence, or the like. Unless, it is THE ABSOLUTE final option. (Yes, you heard me right. I've conceded)

As my gf said once about those Columbia University dolts who attacked the speakers a while back, "What the fuck were they smoking? There's a right way, and a wrong way to protest. They did it the wrong way. What a bunch of idiots."

Peace~
