The radical left doesn't hide their agenda
Published on September 22, 2007 By Draginol In Democrat

The smirking chimp is a site dedicated to not just insults of President Bush but also of promoting radical left-wing nonsense like the article "When the rich make too much money".

It never ceases to amaze me to see someone write, without irony on a computer, built by companies started by people who are now "rich" full of components made by companies whose founders are "rich"  running computer software made by companies whose founders are "rich" complaining how unfair it is that there are rich people and how it endangers us all.

How many people do you know whom you would happily claim to be worth 100 times what you are worth as a human and a citizen of a so-called "democracy"? How does the worth of people like Kenneth Lay and Warren Buffett stack up against the worth of people like Jefferson, Franklin and Lincoln? Have you ever considered the certainty that relative human worth does not have one damned thing to do with what you own or how much money you have accumulated?

Above is a quote from the article that is written without a hint of irony.  Apparently, being a politician or diplomat has more worth than Warren Buffet.  Who defines how valuable a human being is to society? Apparently in the liberal utopia, learned academics like Dr. Lower.

But before we are assigned a human worth value by the academics, I would ask -- how much has our life changed in just the past 100 years thanks to people like Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Henry Ford, Thomas Edison, and so on?  What would our lives be like today without the tiny percentage of people who go out and truly change the world?

If the government were to tell me that I had a maximum cap I could earn, then my answer would be "fuck you" and I would simply stop working.  I have a wife and 3 kids.  Sure, I employ 50 people but if I'm not going to be able to benefit beyond a certain point from my efforts, then I'm not going to work beyond that point either. How would that affect the 50 people that work at the company I run? Probably not very well. But being forced to work without compensation is slavery and I won't be a part of that.

I could retire right now if I wanted and live comfortably.  I'm not driven by money or wealth accumulation, but I certainly expect to enjoy the fruits of my labor (see Draginol's new car).  I expect to one day be able to afford a lot more than what I have today.  That isn't what gets me up in the morning (making cool stuff does) but there are plenty of days when my job isn't fun and having goals that involve materialism do help (well, I sure don't enjoy having to deal with employee issues but on the other hand, I can afford to buy a nice lake house up north).

One of the things that drives people like me is the desire for new experiences and new frontiers and many of those new experiences take a lot of money because, as I've written before, money can buy time to allow people to experience more in the limited amount of years they have on this Earth.

The problem with left-wingers is that most of them are inevitably divorced from reality and have no conception to how we got from serfdom (where the "goverment" did put hard limits on how much one could earn) to where we are today in a fairly egaltarian society where the child of a single parent with no economic advantages can grow up and live the American dream.

Too many left-wingers think jobs and opportunity simply exist on their own and are not connected to anyone. But our society is a reverse pyramid. You remove the handful of movers and shakers from society and it would collapse in a hurry.  Supply and demand deterine where we are on that pyramid -- not some group of learned academics.

You'd think that academics would see the obviousness in this. After all, one presumes they have some grasp of history.  Yet, when they espouse short-sighted proposals like this which would, in essence, return us to a social structure more resembling feudalism (except where our lords are "elected" rather than born into) it's hard to take their words very seriously.

It's ironic that a site that has so much venom directed toward the current elected political leader that they would, if they had their way, redirect so much power and wealth into the hands of such leaders and away from people who made their wealth from the voluntary choices of millions of people.

There's another irony here, Brad. According to THEIR OWN HISTORIAN, Howard Zinn, whose material I have personally read, Jefferson and Franklin were the wealthy of their day. Look at their holdings, look at the wealth they accumulated. They may have rallied the support of the masses, but they were themselves quite wealthy, and would be the target of the venom of pigs such as these were they alive today.

People seem to be asking the wrong questions. They ask, "Why does he make so much money?" What they should be asking is, "Why don't I make that much money?" Also, the way you made your money had the government taking away money from you at every turn. So, in order for them to become rich, and follow your success, shouldn't the government take more money from them? People who receive money from the government are rarely as successful as those who do not, so why should you rally for more subsidies for yourself? It's the path to an unsuccessful life.

Basically, the answer is to get off your own butt and go do something that you love, that happens to make money. Then, you will likely be as happy and wealthy as Brad. Maybe. But at least you'll know the REAL solution.

I may write this up as a seperate article but here's an example of why an income cap would be awful:

Both left wingers and myself agree that inventors generally enjoy inventing new things.

So our nice inventor comes up with a robot. Right now, it's just a robot in his house and not really of value to society.

To make his invention help society, our inventor needs to find a distributor, get investors, meet with parts suppliers, component vendors, retail buyers, marketers, etc.  These things, by contrast are NOT fun to do.  But the inventor thinks to himself "If I do these things, I'll make a lot of money that I can use to buy things I want, live a greater lifestyle, and have money left order to fund more inventions"

But under the income cap proposal, our inventor would see a brick wall in his future. And is thus more likely to simply keep his invention in his basement.

Imagine, Brad being the only person to ever play GalCiv3 due to an income cap... no more Wincustomize, no more windowblinds... not more JoeUser, either. Now we can get pretty much everyone who visits this site against an income cap!

Due to illness i have been forced to retire, long before i'm ready in the ultimate financial sense of the term. Of course, i'd wouldn't be any better off money-wise in the 17 years i was shortchanged by this illness, so it really doesn't matter i guess. I have enough money to eat, keep a roof over my head, my wife's head, our 3 dogs, and the infrequent visit from our son and his wife. So...even with Bush and his oil baron buddies creating false emergencies that cost us all billions of dollars a month, I have found a way to survive with a lifestyle that isn't too shabby, provided we watch those pennies and nickels. NO...no Porsche in the driveway...(dammit all), but a three year old Sonata bought brand new and kept that way in the garage. Toys for the aging...laptop, desktop, Xbox 360 w/games, 100" screen in the movie room, (living room), and ice cream in the freezer. hey, who wouldn't be content. Did Bush help? nope. Gates did though, by making a product that stops running 360 days after purchase. Can't win them all. Not all the things these movers and shakers create are good for America, or for even one American. For instance, the biggest mover & shaker created a war most of this country couldn't wait to get into. Revenge...not logic drove the frenzy to go and kill those ragheads who Bush said were evil and needed to be taught a lesson. Years later we all agree the lesson taught has yet to be learned...by US! Thus far we've doubled the number of victims killed in the towers, injuring 160,000+, and costing trillions in national debt, after enjoying a balanced budget for the first time in 20 or so years. We're a nation of idiots, driven by emotion rather than intellect. We went to war with the wrong country but what the hell, any war will fatten Halliburton's wallet right? g

never wrote on one of these blogs before and I find myself enjoying the freedom to express silly opinions i know won't change or alter the destructive course we're on. just look at the blogs here - one in particular puts global warming believers in the category of doomsayers. Funny thing, those same people this fool labels as being idiots are the same ones who said Bush would drive this nation to disaster...which he did with his foot to the floor and his head up his tailpipe. I love a nation of 300 million who all think they have the answer, but won't come together to change a damn thing. Bush should be impeached...or worse, in a logical society he would have been dismissed long ago and replaced by a six year old, giving us a whole extra year's education to draw from.

Bush...the man who clears brush better than he does his real job, should be released from present duty before he puts this country any further into the marshland of corruption he has not only allowed to grow, but has actively fertilized daily with his bs speeches and blind faith decisions. Speaking of which, once the man declared God wanted him to be president, we as a nation should have disallowed his running. Believing in miracles is fine, just not when you pray for one to get you out of the greedy mess you're in. Enron, Halliburton, Dick Cheney, Chevron, Ford, Chrysler, ALL the airlines...greed not great ideas propels them to the disaster each has become. Americans have lost their sense of nation, we no longer feel the individual can accomplish anything without a million or billion dollars behind him. Those men, Franklin, Jefferson, Lincoln, Washington, all had one thing in common, they did what had to be done to create a nation out of a wilderness. America is no longer a wilderness, but from these postings you'd think differently. Over the past 100 yrs the phone company has done nothing to change the long distance phone call except charge more for use of antiquated lines. What about wireless? no lines!

Rich people are rich because they are not poor.
Greed is the engine that drives wealth. plain and simple. No one works as hard as Bill Gates did without having something to show for it - but let us not forget the adage: all that is necessary for evil to flourish is for good men to do nothing. or something like that! Gates nearly stole DOS and then turned it around over the years to make it sound like he wrote it. Windows is the biggest mess ever programed, and I'm a former professional programmer so i do know a bit about it. Blue screen of death...error message what!? One version every two years to supposedly fix errors in the last version! Can you do your job that poorly? Go to work and find out - screw up some stuff, then tell the boss you'll have a revision sometime next year. Then, go to Monster.com for a new job.

i use a push lawn mower.
it runs on gas but i steal it from the neighbor's car so I don't use any new fuel out of the pump. Saves the world's supply by a gallon or so a month.

Draginol makes note that left wingers are the problem, but hey, dude, it's those rightee's that are in office these past years and think about this...since 1796 the U.S. has been in debt to the tune of 9 trillion dollars. Between Bush, Bush, and Nixon that bill would be 7 trillion dollars LESS. That is if they never had been elected. Right wingers all, all of them as dishonest as they are disloyal to those who elected them to office by their votes. Again, a right winger looking for scapegoats when his own kind slit his throat and he can't believe it. The thought of right wingers taking away our freedom, telephone taps, illegal searches of homes and persons, and the planned and osculating terror campaign against brown skinned people are all products of right wing thinking. Fear is their weapon of choice. instill fear in the people's minds and you control them. you can strip wages to the bone, take away medical benefits, outsource jobs, shortchange programs meant to aide the poor and otherwise screw Americans across this once great nation. We should be at war with the minority of right wingers who believe a miracle will fix all their greedy mistakes. They instill fear in the mass populace while stealing their shirts and pants from their bodies. Slight of hand, a cheap trick used in magic shows now running in Vegas. No ask, no tell - What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas - An Army of One, since two become a posse - Who really leveled the twin towers, and Why? What happened in this nation directly thereafter? Who benefited from the actions this nation took? Did the boys who are armless, legless, brain dead or just all dead? Did you Mr. porsche driver with the Jag in the garage for rainy days? How about ken lay? how about Dickie boy Cheney? how aobut the other scumbags who stole the savings of hard working men and women who were looking at that money as their retirement cushion...think they benefited by a war that never ends? Halliburton bigshots have benefited plenty, you rightwing moron! you frustrate the very life out of me! you stand for the work ethic but draw no limits, as if anything goes and tough sh*( to those who lose their futures after slaving for 30 years in some sweatshop...i put in 17.5 myself, so i know about sweatshops. let's face it, rightees have opinions and like all as(holes they are behind the data intake and all too often are heard before being properly processed. Too bad, some of these people almost sound human at times.

By the way, most of the 'great" men were not right wingers. jefferson owned hundreds of slaves and yet felt badly about the mistreatment of same. Washington was a man who couldn't bear to be wrong or have anyone tell him he was - a lot like Bush, except Washington had a brain he exercised diligently. As for the inventors, they are a left brained group, since creativity is a job the left side of the brain does well. As for the right side, that is reserved for greed, or business as we like to call it. Greed, avarice, domination and perverse thought run from the right to the hands and mouth. No thought allowed, sorry. Draginol, you have trouble with the stick because it requires independent thought from the LEFT side of the brain. I've owned and driven a stock car and never once complained about it being a stick shift - even at 175 MPH it was a pleasure to be in and running in circles. For a true left winger, running in circles in a race is the closest he'll or she'll get to being a no-mind. For a rightee, running a race is the closest you'll get to being a leftee.

let us celebrate our differences and argue our likenesses. God, I hate being of the same species as Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld and so many other lying, cheating, murdering SOBs in this world - and in my own country as well.

What's with Black Entertainment Television? I want my race celebrated too...I'm known as a American-European, not just a American. Negroes have gotten Afro-American, and that's so wrong. They were born in America FIRST and FOREMOST. American-Afro would be fine. As a man of Russian roots I guess American-Ruskie would be fine as well. Caucasun? Nope. I'm a slight jaundiced color, not white at all. Pale yellow maybe, or light orange, tan light, or something like that. i find these labels as stupid as leftee or rightee. We put ourselves and everyone else into boxes and then complain because there's no open room to walk. left wing nuts are out there and writing and right wing idiots are still out there playing the old "watch my right hand" while their left hand robs you blind. oh well, it's the way of it and it won't change because today America is on the slippery slope to total anarchy by the youth of the next generation who aren't even on the scene yet. Not to worry though, just check out the lattest rap music "slut rap" and see what's in store for the right and left by the radical hate mongers of this nation. The blacks are going to drag down a great nation and a great place to live. Make it all one big ghetto and brag that everyone's now even, except of course that they're only out for themselves like the white shirt right and left. if you preach it, LIVE IT. Otherwise, get out of my way, 'cause there isn't time to waste on going around you.
Thanks for the platform, hope I offended someone - if not i'll work harder next time, i promise.

"Bush should be impeached...or worse, in a logical society he would have been dismissed long ago and replaced by a six year old, giving us a whole extra year's education to draw from."

That made me laugh out loud.

Just remember, the best way to drag us all into the ghetto is to take the money from the rich and give it to the poor.

actually, Gates bought DOS, danielost. He reworked it.

what ever he still didn't steal it.

That's why the individual in question said he NEARLY stole it. Gates bought it for $50,000 and made millions off of it.

That's what's wrong with many people who oppose capitalism. Yes, Gates was very shrewd in building Microsoft, but what he did has produced substantial wealth for many.

Danielost, I love your comments. They're so obtuse and completely miss the point, without fail, every time.

Keep it up buddy. Gotta get my laughs somewhere
