Brad Wardell's views about technology, politics, religion, world affairs, and all sorts of politically incorrect topics.

Stardock has around 60 people total working full time.  That may seem like a lot but relatively speaking, we're tiny. Most companies this size would have a single product.  By contrast, we develop and publish a lot of products.

Here is our schedule for 2008 on major releases.

January:

  • MyColors 2008
  • CursorFX

February:

  • Sins of a Solar Empire
  • DeskScapes 2.0
  • <Confidential Release>
  • JoeUser.com V2

March:

  • IconPackager 4
  • Object Desktop 2008
  • <Confidential Release>

April:

  • IconDeveloper 2
  • GalCiv II: Twilight of the Arnor

June:

  • The Political Machine 2008

<further releases confidential>

Even if we were simply a PC game developer and publisher, 3 major game releases in a single year would be huge.  If we were just a PC software developer all these releases would be huge.  And of course, this schedule ignores all the updates, suites, skins, and other minor releases.

Ah, darn. I really didn't want to see this. I like surprizes.

Yeah, lots of folks want to know what they can expect to see new or updated for the coming year. I suppose they are concerned if they are getting their monies worth. Don't get me wrong, that is not a bad thing.

I'm just a little bit behind in using what is here now, that I can't even handle more updates or new stuff.

I ought to point out that schedules do change, so while something is on the list above with a scheduled date, please remember that dates can and do change sometimes.

I wonder if this is Neil's way of saying that this is Brad's schedule and please don't take it out on him if a date slips.
