Lots of stuff going on at the office. We meant to get Beta 5 out this week, there's a ton of changes to Twilight that we're working through.

Unfortunately, I have the flu which is slowing me down. But on a brighter note Scott (boogiebac) and his wife just had their first baby but that means he's been out this week.

One of the new features we've put in is that players can choose to have the AI design ships for them. While most players choose to design their own ships, this gives new players the option to focus on other things.

I'd write more but I feel like death.

BoogieBac, is that the image for a new population explosion event. On a more serious note congrats. That baby is more important than any game.

That is one good looking young man. Most babies come out all blotchy and wrinkly and unfinished...but this guy seems ready and able to take on the world. (After he has finished his nap and filled his diaper, of course.) I couldn't be happier for you. My most sincere best wishes to you and yours. Mistralok

You guys are Stardock, not some sucky game company. As such, we consider you humans and not codemonkeys, and our friends.

Get rest. The beta can wait - your health cannot.
This is an order from your fans! GET TO THE RESTING

Hairy kid, Boogie - take after his daddy?

Congrats. Brad, you get feeling better too. I can't purchase and download TA until I'm back in the states anyway, and that's not until July. You take your good sweet time . . .

Congratulations Boogie buddy! My best to you and your family at this happy time. (ps my third is due in three weeks )

Take some good time out together but expect to be told to '**** off' back to work really soon as, and i quote, "I need time alone with (X) to get into a routine".

Once again many congratulations!

As for the Frog person..... Man Flu, yup thats a killer

The nice thing about my job is that I can do some of it from bed (like forums).

But AI coding is quite another thing.  I did have some new ideas on how the AI should pick planetary improvements though while laying around.

Weirdest flu ever though. I have no temperature. Just feels like I'm super hot and every muscle in my body hurts and I'm really tired. I'm on the road to recovery. Just laying around with the laptop in bed surfing with my nice wife giving me back rubs.

I am in the wrong job!

I hope this will mean the end of Research Coordination Centers with no labs, and Quantum Power Plants with no factories. I'd wish for the Thalans to build something besides Embassies too, but that's just crazy talk

Edit: speaking of AI, they need to be more aware of targets of opportunity. I just had a military resource starbase destroyed by the Yor; the Terrans had a bunch of constructors in the area, at least half a dozen that could have reached the resource before anyone else. They just cruised right on by.

I know the AI at one point would not replace structures (replace a factory with a lab for instance). If this problem hasn't been fixed, could you make sure that the AIs can replace structures?
