Lots of stuff going on at the office. We meant to get Beta 5 out this week, there's a ton of changes to Twilight that we're working through.

Unfortunately, I have the flu which is slowing me down. But on a brighter note Scott (boogiebac) and his wife just had their first baby but that means he's been out this week.

One of the new features we've put in is that players can choose to have the AI design ships for them. While most players choose to design their own ships, this gives new players the option to focus on other things.

I'd write more but I feel like death.

We meant to get Beta 5 out this week

Sorry to hear your ill. So is beta 5 out later today, next week or you don't know yet?

If the AI ship design feature is slowing down the release of the beta personally id rather it waited to beta 5b.

Better take your time so that everything in the beta is fully functional.

Flu is also going around where I live. Get well soon, Brad.

I'm going to try to get more work on beta 5 done this weekend  Cari has been doing most of the real work on the beta lately.  (Frogboy = Draginol)

I'd say get some rest first to get better and betas can wait a bit more.

Besides, we need you alive for later mouahahah!

Seriously, the flu is a badass virus, not a bad cold. Make sure you pamper yourself.

Congratulations on the baby Scott! Lots of noise now at the house, eh Bless!

I'm tempted to sing the closing lines of a certain Jonathan Coulton song, but we all know THAT'S been done to death several times over.

Get well, we eagerly await beta 5!

More good news:
Gamespot: Editor's Choice for Sins of a Solar Empire

Please get some rest Brad and I hope you are feeling better soon.

You guys probally need a break.

Lets see here:
-You've have been working TA beta for a few months
-You've recently released Sins
-You've needed to make changes to servers
-Some of you have important matters to deal with (child and flu for instance)
-etc.

Take the rest you need. You wouldn't program well if you are trying to fight off the sniffles at the same time.

Good, now, **I** am sick.

What is more important in life - Health or Work?
You can't perform if too sick, and wouldn't heal if overworked.
I can only see two simple solutions to such a problem;
a) Don't think.
Think again.
Repeat as often as necessary.

But, seriously though - what i really want is a genuine release version as fast as everybody can simply DO it. Cuz, my IRS refund checks should show up in the mail by mid-march or somethin' and i've got some ready cash to spend on a better V-Card like a GE-Force 5900/FX-AGP or anything better if i can find it here in Montreal somewhere.

Aside for a copy of TA reserved money also.
Yes, dear... right away dear.

SDC did have some small updates last night. What were those? There was even one for TA, but I didn't download it because I'm in the middle of a game. I don't remember the version number right now.

Yeah, I've actually been out the last two weeks helping with my 'side project' (Ethan Scott Tykoski), but next week I'll be hammering out the goods (finsh missing improvement images, ect).

Then once Brad feels better we'll be back at full capacity for Twilight's final push (no labor pun intended)

By the way, are we going to get any more editors any time soon? I would like to be able to start building my custom civs I'm working on. I *will* be trying to break the thing trying to make the best custom civ that I can.

Cute kid Boogie.

Congratulations, BoogieBac!

And Draginol--some might disagree, but I don't think they will:

Give it a break! It's a beta! Get sleep! Postpone it; we'd rather you get better. Please don't be working now: you make me feel all guilty that you are sick yet working on a game for our enjoyment! Seriously... a week extra on the beta? Rather have that than you sick.

Get some rest... please, Mr. Workaholic?

^^^ What he said.

Congrats to Scott and his wife on the birth of their son!

And Brad, in the name of all that is holy (or *un*holy, if that's your peference  ), get some rest, man! We don't want you dying on us.

Congrats to Boogie and his wife for their first child. And I hope you get better Brad.

Brad, rest. Don't try to work through the frakking FLU. It's painful. I just tried. It kicked my ass, laughed at me for a while, then kicked my ass again. Seriously. I ended up with pneumonia from my refusal to rest properly. JUST DON'T DO IT.

BoogieBac, try to rest, too. You won't succeed for at least six weeks, but it'll be funny when you try.
