It is the time of the Twilight of the Arnor. Or, more specifically, time to start going through the AI for enhancements for the new expansion pack.

Today, I'm going to play and show BUGS in our stuff as I play. Here we go.

I'm playing a Tournament game for this. Now you all will be able to play Drengin-Human Wars.

Bug 1, the name provided should be based on the title of the campaign (Drengin Human Wars) not on file names.

Drengin vs. Humans

image

The Drengin and humans are battling it out for a 25 sector quadrant. The Terran Alliance starts out with just the planet Avalon. The Drengin are located on the other side of the map.

Since I designed the map, I know where the planets are which I take full advantage of since I'm playing to win. But I still need scouts to help me figure out where some of the other things are so I design one.

I make use of the new animated piece feature to have a sensor dish that rotates.

image

Early in the game, this is what the map looks like. I'm in great shape because I took the two big center planets (since I knew where they are and the AI does not).

There is a show stopper bug on this screen. See if you can find it.

Gotta go look into it...

I really "groove" when you talk the talk in the betas.

As far as a bug, the only thing I could even hazard a guess on is that I do not see a tech being researched.

So basically, I am clueless, as usual.

So much for being a "Font of worthless knowledge." - as quoted by Cherene Straykat.

The mini-map location isn't being displayed? Maybe its the image quality though and you are so far zoomed in I can't see it?

Perhaps the faint red line from the ship going to the lower left?

I agree with Suralle, the AI is not researching a tech, or at least it isn't being shown on this screen.

Would you please post screens at a higher resolution? I can't read any of the text.

I enjoy these 'backstage' looks. Thanks.

Theres no Tech being researched.. which is impossible to do, normally with sliders at zero it will say something and "Never", therefor I'm going to hazard a guess that thats the bug your on about. Ouch, that would suck!

Where's all the media coverage for this game anyway? I'm sure I remember seeing more for Dark Avatar.

I hope you post more of these interesting bug testing reports with screen shots. Especially on AI improvement.

A computer researching no tech. Thats got to suck.

I suspect a number of Stardock personnel have been a bit *ahem*...."distracted" by Sins of a Solar Empire the last few months. And of those that haven't, most of the rest are probably now working on their fantasy strategy game.

I've often pictured poor Cari working on TotA by herself, with Brad now frantically cramming to get in the AI updates.

I think that here is another bug being that the Drengin scout has more that one of a certain component.
