Well friends and family who are keeping up on "Future House". The plot plan has been largely completed.

We have the plot of land. It's a little strangely shaped. It's about 3 acres overall. We've settled where the house is going to sit on the property.

Here is a closer up view.

The driveway is subject to change as I am trying to avoid cutting down trees (though, sadly, we've cut down a lot of trees since this lot was 100% wooded).  The wood is being milled to be used on the house at least.

More to come.

Though sad it may be you were going to have to get wood from somewhere and this way your helping the environment since you're not wasting all that oil to get it there in the first place.

Looks great so far.  It totally rocks you are using the wood from the land, there is just something so right about that.  Like the trees nurtured and held the land in trust for you (and they started before you even knew it existed or you would own it one day), and now they get to come home and be part of housing you as well.

Ok, that view may be corny.

But I still think its cool.
