Looks great. One question with the feature list. What ever happened to the "right of passage" treaty? Is that going to be implemented or considered abandoned after no one could come up with a satisfactory way that it would work?

We're not going to do the right of passage treaty.

This is going to be AWSOME!!!

Looks good, but I hope you'll fix some of those typos and mistakes before release.

Plenty of features without it anyway. It seemed to be pretty hard to implement well, particularly when two races can inhabit the same solar system.

Nah, we're trying to put all of this work into the game so that we can release it with a bunch of grammatical errors and simplistic typos. It improves our morale and makes us look good at the same time.

It ALREADY is, i guess.
My eye-lids are flapping up like crazy and my brain (what's left of it anyway) feels like mushy glob from staring at the whole bunch of snapshots... Teasing is fun, actually playing the real genuine beta copy (98c, installed!) is even more satisfying.

In fact, Addiction has to be a better word.

Are there many music and sound changes? I loved the main menu music to Dread Lords. I'd actually take my time setting up a game just to listen to the music longer.

dragoon, if you use Paypal you can get around that problem. They accept payments with solo through there and into Stardock.

I've read a lot of bad things about Paypal... Things like Pp losing card details etc.
I'm really quite suspicious of things like that.
Has anyone else had issues with Paypal? Or is it easy to sign up once, and then cancel the account once i've done what I needed to with it?

Sins of A solar empire is getting a boxed release in the UK in June I believe, so it's only really TotA I need.

You got rid of the old human ambassador? Thank you thank you thank you! I always hated that guy!

I have had a PayPal account for some time. Once you have your account set up, it is easy to use, and quite secure. You can cancel at any time, if you choose, but it is easiest to leave your account open, since it is likely that you will want to use it again.

I, too, have had one for awhile and make all my Stardock purchases with it. It's just easier that way.

The only reason you hear horror stories is because of how massive PayPal is. With millions upon millions of users, there are bound to be a few problems now and then. I, however, have been nothing but pleased with how it's worked.
on Apr 24, 2008
Yeah, I guess it's no more suspicious or problematic than any other online paying system.
on Apr 24, 2008
Paypal been good for me to,... I`ve used it for 7 years now !!!
But I`ve not been one of the ones with a problem either!!

Nasty

My god, seeing it all together like that makes me want to pre-order it 5 more times. hehe. Gimme gimme gimme!

A friend used their card on my behalf to get DA, but sadly they moved to England
(traitor) , so not an option.
Seems as you guys have had no problem, guess I will sign up for an account with them and use paypal to get TotA. I can't wait to get it.

Will there be a way to burn the dowloaded content of TotA to disc? I like to have physical copy, though I can't really stretch to having a disc sent from the US too.

Thanks for the answers and advice to guys, I don't think there is a friendlier community out there.
