Tomorrow is the 20 year class reunion for my high school. I can’t believe it’s been that long.

For me, high school was not fun. Even with the benefit of hindsight the best I could describe the overall high school experience was “horrible”.

That it was horrible wasn’t due to my classmates (though certain classmates did make a bad situation worse but my main pain from high school is in prison serving a life sentence) but just the situation overall – I was a total nerd and HS isn’t a fun place for nerds.

I’m finding myself pretty excited though. A lot of the people attending are people I grew up with. Some of them were with me from kindergarten on up and so I’m very excited to see how their lives have gone.

just FYI Brad:

Nerds are "hip" in HS now.  You'll often see the more "trendy" people say "I'm such a nerd!" about themselves on a rather regular basis... not actually knowing what makes them a nerd though, they assume spending all day on Facebook makes them one... not memorizing spec layouts from intel.com or trying to write your first game... sitting around playing D&D has become rather acceptable in most HS Environments I'm told...

Bill Gates probably can't wait for his HS reunions. Probably a lot of folks think they should have been a better friend to him. Lots of former HS football hero's and cheerleader captains with those days, their best, behind them. I always told my kids, to do that sort of thing for fun, but the day after graduation it won't mean squat. That and always be nice to the geeks and fat kids (especially the girls). They might be your boss one day, and the girl might turn out to be the the hottest gal you ever met (minus the stuck up attitude).

Yep, always be nice to fat girls because sometimes they become attractive later.

You are who everyone fantasizes about being at their class reunion Brad.

Talented, successful, rich, beautiful wife, and three amazing kids.

Hope it was fun, and you made some old connections new again!

You can't be a complete nerd without coke bottle glasses! and they have to be all taped up from bullying.
