So, on the one hand, I like the idea of having a 0 emissions house. On the other I have philosophical objections to the federal government picking winners and losers. So I have some trepidation as I install the 20KW solar array because of the almost insane level of tax incentives on it.

Not your fault the gov. wants to give you back some of your taxes. Not like it's someone else's money.

Can you detail the tax incentives? I am curious (and not at a stage to actually install any). I read recently where you can get over $17k in kickbacks for just buying a Volt (in some places) and wonder if that is how it is adding up as well.
