Has anyone ever noticed that people, with pride, will often say that they would choose X over Y even if it were easier to get rich (or richer) if they chose Y but when they read about someone else doing the same they’re shocked?

Double standards and hypocrisy surprise you?

I don't blame you Brad. Really...

Like selling weapons to the Third World countries?

I don't even worry about what other people think...life is to short and you can't take anything with you when you go anyway. So....get as rich as you can and leave it to me.

He who goes with the most toys wins so ....... I'm gettin' a lot of toys. Gotta have somethin' to do over there.

As long as you did it your way, what else matters?  Wear it well.

even if it were easier to get rich (or richer)

  really, was that necessary?

Happens all the time Brad.  I know I provide for my future and that of my family and God first, then the rest of the world when and where I can help.  I am by no means rich, but I do alright. We should all do the same, life is too short for anything else.  Oh, and ignore the naysayers (and politicians), they have no idea what they're talking about.

I never did understand that X and Y stuff.

If you make the decision you want to when the time comes for you to make it, the only lesson to learn is did it turn out as you expected.

Who cares what others think right? Everyone wants to be rich, some are just mad that they made all the wrong choices and that no matter how much money they put into the lotto they never win.

Having a background in economics helps me realize it's not all about money.  It's all about having the best life for yourself that you can get, though money is a good part of that.

I regret some of the choices I made earlier in my life when I think back about them though.

Yep, it's the old "If I knew then what I know know, I'd be rich." adage.

I may not have been rich, but I would have likely had a more interesting life.

Or I could have been too money-driven, richer and miserable.
