Andrew Orlowski has a really good article about the the state of Windows 8.  Check it out here: http://www.theregister.co.uk/2012/03/03/andrew_does_windows8/

His description is a mild way of saying it sucks.

Here's another gripe about Windows 8 that I ran into.

Its remote desktop client is Metro-only... and it's slow as heck. I'm so glad that I didn't install it on my main computer because I wouldn't be able to do work remotely with it...

LOL Uvah!  I agree too.  Lots of controversy and disagreement on this new OS for sure.

Other than the "watch me turn ugly" gag, does Win8 have any new tricks? It would take major performance/security/usability improvements to get me to "upgrade" (term used loosely) from Windows7. I see no real value added to the OS, only change for the sake of change.

Win 8 IMO is shaping up like Vista. The preview is 3.3 GB and to me that means bloat on steroids. Win 7 is a lot lighter!

It runs much better than Vista did on my PC.  I like that part.
