Sorry for the lack of updates to the main page. I've been in New York this week on a media tour.  Meeting with a bunch of computer magazines to show them what we're doing with Object Desktop 2005 (www.objectdesktop.com).

But man the weather is awful here. Rainy, cold, miserable weather.

Meanwhile, back at the office they're trying to get the new Wincustomize going. Problem is, while the site runs fine with 200 people on at once, it bogs down when there's 3000 people at once. So they're struggling with that which no doubt is affecting the speed of JoeUser today.  When all this gets done, in theory all the sites should be faster.  We'll see.

So right now I'm in the lobby of the hotel preparing to go to today's next meeting. Trying to dry off after exploring some of Manhattan.  See you all soon.

Mmm, explains why I've been having trouble with the blog site today. Well, when it rains in NY that's the worst place to be cause it can be miserable. Where in the city are you, midtown, uptown, Javits Center? Just wondering. Glad you're able to get some touring time in.

Welcome to NYC, draginol. You really picked a lousy day.
Oh well, maybe next time......................

Same here. I was so lucky, I got to wait at my bus stop for an extra 25 minutes out in the cold, cold rain! The one day the bus driver had to be late...

Well I'm at the airport now. I've been in NY in all kinds of weather over the years.  About 3 years ago I was here during the big blizzard.  What I'm saying is that I single handedly destroy the weather patterns of New York.

I wish it woud rain longer than a few hours here. I live in the largest city in Australia and we're on water restrictions, which are no fun at all. I am lucky because I live on the coast and we still get coastal showers that keep things looking pleasantly green but inland, there are some places that haven't seen rain for years. What a big, wide, whacky, screwed up world we live in, ay?

Cheers,

Maso

Draginol, I had no idea you were a computer wiz. I should really read up more on people at joeuser I guess. I hope you enjoyed your sight seeing out there, there are many interesting places where you would least expect them to be so do not let the outside fool you in to not checking things out. Be safe.

It's finally Sunny in New York today in the 50's. The rain storm was happening while siding was being installed at my house. What timing Mother Nature has!
