Brad Wardell's views about technology, politics, religion, world affairs, and all sorts of politically incorrect topics.
Well isn't it?

I walked into the living room and my wife was watching one of those fat people losing weight shows.

I said, "Deb, why are you wasting your life watching this junk?"

To which she responded, "Big talk from the man who just spent his entire day playing World of Warcraft."

A pause.

"Well, I did make it to level 30 today."

At which point my son Alex chimes in, "Yea, now daddy can wear a helmet!"

My wife looks at my son and then looks at me and says,

"Brad, I think you need to wear a helmet."

..

I'm just saying that World of Warcraft is a better waste of time than biggest lower or whatever it's called. Because...Because..well...because!

By playing WoW, you accomplished something. A virtual something, and more or less completely useless, but something nonetheless. Spend an hour watching television, and you've got nothing to show for it. It's all about actively wasting your time, as opposed to lying there while it trickles away.

I happen to like teleivison... well the West Wing anyways. I think you are refering to the biggest loser however.

hehe, funny story. Which begs the question, are you wearing your helmet now?

You know what is a real waste of time? Being Serbian that's what. I just sit here trying to say "Dime Glava" to women and getting no respect. Stick with your Warcraft. I'd play but I'm too much of a pitchka.

TLC, Discover, History. Nuff said.

Just nod and walk away....put down the comeback and walk away.

That was funny.

One could say the same of any television show--but a memory of the time you spent (useful or otherwise) does not a tangible accomplishment make.

Herein lies the difference between what women like to do for leisure, sometimes, and what men love to do with their time. We have these kinds of comebacks in my household too. Hence a TV in the bedroom, and one in the Livingroom. You made me laugh!

"I like cheese."

Sounds like about the most sensible thing I've seen written here today.....

Woohoo! Level 30!

HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

I know exactly what you're talking about, though. My computer is in the living room and my wife and I can see exactly how the other is wasting time... We don't agree on who is wasting time more efficiently, either.

The question is how long did she spend watching the show vs how long you spent in the game? I think that was the point she was trying to make to you. She wasted 1 hour and you wasted 10.

What does it mean if I play while I watch TV?

And do you need a new helmet yet?
on Jan 19, 2005
Aye!

Thats how I play all the time. TV, WoW, Beer, and smokes. This is of course when i am not at work or school. And that isnt all that often anymore.
