Wah!

I'm having one of those days today. I was supposed to give a class to our marketing & sales team today on how to effectively use Frontpage. So I brought in my trusty ThinkPad T40 laptop that I practically live on, fired it up, and got a blue screen saying that I had a corrupted volume. Luckily, it's NTFS so I can recover my data. But it's going to be a full reinstall on that computer.

The other hassle is trying to get into the new building.  Stardock has purchased a new building in Plymouth Michigan (we currently lease). But it's new new which means we're dealing with contractors and such.  Some contractors are good. Some are good at charging what seems to me to be obscene amounts for trivial things.  We don't have to be in the building at any particular time so we have a lot of leverage on the builders and such but it is incredibly frustrating dealing with that kind of thing on top of everything else.  It'll get sorted out I'm sure but I just want it all done so we can move in.

Below are some pictures from the new building that Marcel (Redmak) took while they were visiting recently.

Contractors, the second biggest legalized scam, right behind state-mandated insurance.

kingbee,

Nope, Segar moved out a while ago; although his place was pretty darn close to Stardock's new building.

Still waiting on pins and needles, Brad.

To be fair, I don't think health insurance is a bad thing - you really don't want programmers to come down with bugs, as they might introduce them into the source code.

Awesome building.. You hiring? Lol I'm glad Stardock continues to grow. I've been around a couple years now... Mostly watching and in my opinion Stardocks programs have always been well written.. WinCustomize is like my favorite haunt (especially lately), and so far this looks like a neat place as well. You guys have always "made life easy" and so I congratulate you on the new building and can't wait to see what comes in the future!!!
