It took over 2 hours to get to CES today. The size of the show this year seems to, but doesn't necessarily, dwarf previous years.  So I just got to the show and have just finished visiting the Microsoft and LG booths. There's some really cool stuff being shown.

I'll write more about it when I get to the press room er I mean, blogger room. Incidentally, bloggers are definitely not treated at the same level as press (our badges are white, press is read).  Which is ironic since many if not most of the "press" people here work for places that have a trivial readership compared to what Neowin.net or WinCustomize can deliver.

Of course, I feel dirty being labeled either since I'm a software developer too.

Do the "bloggers" get any extra parties or food?

Get any good give aways yet?

Guess ya need to pay your money and open a booth and stick someone in it and then go see the rest of the stuff.  Ya should then have a vendors badge.

Thats a really good idea ! Stardock should be there and take part and be placed with the rest of them.
2009 would be the year to do it too...

Yeah Should of stuck an Intern or two in a booth, so you can run around and mingle (play) all you want.

Well I did get a free zune with WinCustomize.com etched on the back. That was really cool. And Microsoft has been really cool to me here.

Toshiba gave me a really nice backpack.

And the blogger lounge was catered quite nicely.

Can the web team have the Zune?   We'll draw names to see who REALLY gets it.

I think I read somewhere that thew Zune was 1 of the top 10 failures for 2007.

Nah, I think it should go to a WC admin.  We can give it to the admin whose real first name comes first alphabetically

LOL

So close . . but I think you meant "Moderator" not "Admin".

No, No, No! The Zune should go to the hard working support staff, without question!

ZubaZ starts counting the solutions he has provided on the forums and how many times some (not going to name names) members of the staff have said "Ummm . . yeah . . what Zubaz said" and starts building a matrix

As an aside  . .  is it the same webteam that is preventing "/me" from not working?
