Don't name call the owner...
Published on September 26, 2004 By Draginol In Blogging

It never ceases to amaze me how quick some people are to spit on those that are giving them something for nothing.

Just so that others can be pre-warned, don't call me a "Nazi" or "Fascist" or any other hateful name.  I don't have to put up with it. And I won't.  I don't know what the deal is with the far left wing people on the Internet and their fixation with calling people "nazis" and such.  Do they even realize that Nazi stands for National Socialist. They weren't right-wing in any way.  They were socialist (by definition).  And the vegetarian artist from Austria that helped found the Nazi party would in no way be considered "conservative" by anyone reasonable.

But regardless, I don't appreciate being called hateful names and the fact is, I own the site.  I invite others to share this server with me for our mutual benefit.  But I am not going to put up with nonsense from anyone.

In fact, pudding is consumable and volatile.

This isn't the Klingon empire. There is a standard of behavior that is pretty much universal here on Earth. You know if you behave in a particular way, you are risking losing teeth.

Actually the Klingons also have strict codes of "ethics" and violating them will cost you more than a few teeth. See, back around the time of Kahless....

Why is everyone looking at me like that?

Is this going too far??

He requests that you just delete the blog he was working on,

Another case of someone going too far repeatedly and then hoping that a slapdash half-ass apology will solve everything so they can come troll some more.

Actually, I would imagine he was the first person ever called a fascist here...

I think Texas Wahine was called an Islamic fascist by someone a while ago... I could be wrong though. It's inevitable in nearly any discussion though due to Godwin's Law. In this guy's case he did it deliberately and so got the boot. The way I see it it's only fair.

I wasn't here at the first, but if Brad got through the first week at JU wihtout being called a fascist, I'd be surprised. God knows how many times I have seen him called it previous to JU...

I am sure Sir Peter appreciates you advertising his threads! Good Show old chap!!!

I think I called him fascist once or twice in the space of several minutes when I was first at JU... like all things, Time has shown the way - and shown that Brad isn't such a bad guy after all... he understands emotions can get in the way, provides ample warnings, and get's on with business...

Brad has the capacity to get over stuff, and see it for what it really is - nothing... and that skill deserves anyones respect...

a lot of people around JoeUser would be wise to take a leaf out of that particular book.

BAM!!!

I'm not quite sure why there are so many people who have to be so socially dysfunctional on this site.  It's rare that people can have a debate without it turning into some sort of name calling or bashing on a person's character.

I had a refreshing debate about Hybrid car with citahellion on my article: http://karmagirl.joeuser.com/index.asp?AID=29172
Not once did it turn to insults.  Not once was there name calling.  However, so many times it seems like the first rebuttal that somebody has is something about the other person being ignorant or calling them a name.  Makes it feel like Middle School all over again.

Can't people have a mature debate?  Is that so very impossible?  And it shouldn't matter if it is an "admin" or not.  Keep your hate to yourself, we don't want it here.  We shouldn't *have* to tell people that calling each other names is wrong.  That should be a common rule of society.

FYI- making up multiple accounts and claiming to be different people is not accepted on this site.  It's funny when one IP ban takes out multiple users though

Do tell Karma.. it would be interesting to know who has a multiple personality on here

Just go to the person you suspect on this article and click on their name.  It will tell you if they were banned or not.

Also, we do email people when they cause violations like this and let them know that they are welcome to blog if they don't insult people and they stay to one name.  It just happened that the IP ban happened to cause other nicks to be banned, and after inspection, it was because they were all the same person.  (Kind of like another recent JU user who *wanted* us to ban them to prove that they weren't somebody else.  That didn't work well for them, though)

I don't think you're a fascist or nazi, neo-conservative maybe naw just kidding.  Anyways I've said this before but you rarely censor anyone even if they are posting directly against you.  I think that is very fair and a great example of tolerance on your part Brad.  I've had some heated arguments on JU but I have never had fear of saying what I feel which is a reflection on the freedom that is given here.

Because my experience in life, KarmaGirl, is that there is an extraordinary amount of people who are socially dysfunctional in life. Sure, the internet and the mask of "anonymity" can really bring out the bozo in some folks, but on the whole I have noticed there is a general lack of respect in society that was unheard of even 20 years ago.

No it isn't, stevendedalus. Call me a pedant if you like, but the proof of the pudding is in the EATING.
