I would venture a guess that these bible study/prayer meetings they're talking about are probably about two hours or so.   At once a week or once a month I think it's pretty petty if you ask me.  The one I have at my house is about 90 minutes once a week and with a little chit chat it may go as far as 2 hours for any that do stick around. 

We've also had grad parties/bbq's/New Year's parties and birthday parties that have gone up in numbers at my house to more than 100. 

My bet is there's someone on the street that probably doesn't care too much for Christians and went after them.  Happens all the time. I have one on my street that won't give me the time of day as soon as she found out I was a "believer."   If this was a quiet drinking party or a poker game, probably nothing would have been said by this same neighbor.

But since you've broached the subject, the most unfriendly neighbor on my block is the most flagrantly Christian, with the cross-shaped pool in the back yard.  Eleven years, nary a word or a wave.  So it cuts both ways.  Some of the kindest, most generous and friendly people I know are Christians.  Some of the most judgmental, insufferable and intolerant people I know are Christians.

Yup, I admit it, it was me! I go all over the states hunting down believers and turning them in; I was trained and am backed by the ACLU, everyone's favorite group. Heck, just the other day I turned in a Christian in Jersey; what fun.

This is why you should never ever get any News story from Fox News.

And why is that?  Fox News merely reported the exact story that the San Diego news station covered a couple of days previously.  It's called reporting and that's what is supposed to happen on "news" programs. 

Personally, my only issue is that what I've subsequently read is different than what Fox (or the SD news station) reported. Someone somewhere is getting their wires crossed.

It still shows a lack of effort to confirm sources and make sure what they reported truly happened the way they say. Otherwise over time their credibility is shot (remind you of any news agencies?).

I know when I want the "full" or "true" story I need to go on Fox.  I watched closely the whole ruckus with Miss California and saw quite a diff story on ABC in contrast to Fox.  ABC chose to leave out some very important comments that Mr. Perez made on his blog that Fox covered in its entirety.  On top of that they gave Mr. Perez the last word as tho he was the victim not Miss California. 

not really because I've seen it happen many times before.  I'm basing my "guess" on past experiences and testimonies. Like I said it happens all the time.  I'm not complaining merely saying it goes with the territory. 

I suppose it could but your neighbor doesn't sound like a Christian to me.  A Christian is Christ-like.  Of course I can only go by what you're saying.  Usually when they are "flagrant" it's more about their religion than their relationship to Christ.  I know what you're saying is true because I've seen that too.  Usually they have large Christian statues in their yard or Christian symbols all over the place.  Not a great example is it?  I agree. 

The guy that power washes all our homes in our neighborhood even picked up on my neighbor's dislike for Christians.  He made a comment that "God was good to him" after she asked how his business was going.   After he made  that comment she immediately changed her countenance towards him and he knew.  He mentioned this to me later when he did my home because he said something along the same lines to me as he did to her but got a diff reaction out of me.  

But I still made her cookies at Christmas like I did all my neighbors.  So I'm not like your neighbor.  I do wave and smile. 

Christians know the gospel offends.  It can be very offensive.

I agree. a "cross-shaped pool" doesn't sound very Christian to me.

I somehow doubt that this is what rabbi Jeshua had in mind when he preached love.

A cross shaped pool doesn't make or unmake a Christian.  Christianity has nothing to do with the outward but all about the inward.  It's not about cherished possessions but all about cherishing people. 

That's why Christ said the world will know you belong to me when they see your love towards others not what kind of pool you have in the backyard.
