Sorry for the lack of updates to the main page. I've been in New York this week on a media tour. Meeting with a bunch of computer magazines to show them what we're doing with Object Desktop 2005 ( www.objectdesktop.com ). But man the weather is awful here. Rainy, cold, miserable weather. Meanwhile, back at the office they're trying to get the new Wincustomize going. Problem is, while the site runs fine with 200 people on at once, it bogs down when there's 3000 people at once. So th...
Tomorrow I leave on a trip to New York. And so I'm here at work trying to do a bunch of things that need to get done before I got. Naturally that means every piddly little technical thing blows up. Things that normally work fine go wrong. I walk in the door and my car alarm goes off. I walk into my office and I get a good static shock. I turn on my laptop and get a blue screen. My copy of GalCiv 2 doesn't work on my laptop. Got a paper cut when shuffling papers around. Ran out of sta...
Welcome to Myth Inc. The Guild has finally gotten started. For those of you who don't know me, let me introduce myself. I'm Draginol in the game, Brad Wardell in real life. I was an alpha tester and later beta tester on World of Warcraft so I'm fairly familiar with the game's various quests.I also run this website (JoeUser.com) along with Stardock.com, WinCustomize.com and several other sites. I'm a professional game developer having designed and helped program The Politi...
If you're playing World of Warcraft, join us on the Uther server (Pacific time zone) to join the Myth Inc. guild. Jeblackstar and Tandis are already on there and hopefully others will soon be part of the guild as well. Hope to see you there! Look for me Draginol or Tandis or Jeblackstar.
I really love being a dad. Here's some more pictures of me and the boys. Here are some more pictures from this Fall for friends & family to see... The boys tackle their dad (me). Ryan with the ball. Ryan makes faces.. Me and Ryan. And Alex. The boys at Halloween.
Ah the Fall is here and here is me and my boys for this Winter. My son Alex. Turns 8 this week! Playing foot ball with my sons. Look at that spiral. THAT's MY BOY! Ryan and his cousin Kellan Ryan and Alex in front of our house at Halloween.

Since 1992, the Democrats have seen a pretty steady decline in their status in the American political system. They lost seats in the house of representatives, the senate, state governorships, and state assemblies. In 2000 they narrowly lost the white house as well. And since 2000, things have become dramatically worse for the Democrats with them being a minority party in every sense? What the hell happened? James Carville, a Democratic advisor to Kerry and Clinton put it succinctly o...
I created my "Draginol" character on the Uther Pacific time-zone server. The first day was a mess. Just total lag. Too frustrating. Amazingly, other people apparently have a lot more patience or something because when I got on today, there were an amazing number of people who had zipped up to leve 18 or higher already. I was in the alpha and beta of World of Warcraft. It took me about a week of playing to get to level 15 and another 3 weeks to get to level 30. Roughly ...
Okay, we have two people now on the Uther server (Pacific Coast time zone). We chose pacific coast because it is 3 hours ahead of where we are (eastern) so more day-light playing in the game. My character's name is Draginol. Tandis is another player on there. So for starters, just look for me on there and add me to your friends list. Once we have enough people, ew can form a guild. See you there!
The #1 reason that Stardock has done so well is relatively low turn over. On our games, everyone who worked on The Corporate Machine (2000) is with us on Galactic Civilizations II plus new people. On Object Desktop the leads on WindowBlinds, IconPackager, DesktopX, ObjectBar, WindowFX, and so on are all the same. Which is pretty meaningful given that some of these were released in 1999. And so we keep growing and growing. This month we brought on 4 new people into the office.&nb...
Tomorrow World of Warcraft begins. I've been on the testing team for about a year. I got the initial alpha and played through some of the betas. I can tell you that it is fantastic - if you're into this kind of thing. It is, ultimately a pretty standard time eating massively multiplayer game. I plan to get the full game tomorrow though. And one thing I've learned, you need a guild. I'm going to play on the human side and as soon as I'm set up I'll mention which server I'm playing on....
When I was PC Gamer give Half-Life 2 a 98% my hype alert meter went off. But now that I have it and have played it for a couple of days, I have to agree, it's pretty fantastic. The graphics are really good but more to the point, the physics of the game really lend themselves to making the game more enjoyable. My only pet peeve are the # of puzzles that have to be solved. But it's forgiveable since if you have an engine like they have, it makes sense to use it. I also have DOOM 3 and in...
I'm a conservative. I make no bones about it. I have plenty of liberal friends. Most of my "good" political discussions are with my friends who are liberal. I have a friend in New York who I talk to a few times a week and I respect his opinions immensely. He's also very liberal. There is a basic problem in our country right now, however. I look at the positions my liberal friends take, listen to them, and ultimately decide I don't agree with them. But I respect their right to an opinion.&nbs...
